Legal English

Horizons Education offers professional language training in Legal English skills, particularly aimed for solicitors, legal and compliance staff who, in an ever-increasing global economy, require knowledge and practical skills in helping them operate successfully at an international level.

Training will be focused on the following areas and skills:

• Speaking: negotiating skills, providing concise and clear information to clients and communicating in an effective and fluent manner
• Listening: active listening skills and learning to grasping essential information
• Vocabulary: lexis covering different areas of the law: civil, banking, employment, contracts, property, human rights and intellectual law.
• Writing skills: compiling effective correspondence, drafting and editing contracts, preparing legal documentation.

Courses may be organized on-site and designed to suit the individual or company requirements. Intensive courses aimed at helping students achieve international language diplomas may also be provided.
